truck wont shift into 2nd wont get past 30 MPH?
89 chevy 60,000miles wont shift into 2nd gear, was told just to change fluid. truck sat for 1 yr owner baught new truck and never drove it. was told it could be governer or some type of cable going from throttle to the trans. reverse gear is fine 4x4 is fine and 1st gear is fine just wont shift into 2nd and revs up real high but wont shift.

Most definitely check the vacuum line from the tranny to the intake manifold.
Change fluid and filter.
