Should I get fat for summer?

I've always been an average weight and I've never been really comfortable in a bikini, though I still wear them. Last summer I saw some really chunky girls wearing bikinis and they looked so confident. They were all having fun and didn't mind their big bodies. Plus, they had hot guys going after them too. They actually looked really good in their bikinis, with their big thighs, big boobs, big butt and round belly. It made me see how wrong the media is to portray thin girls as sexier than thick girls. I wish I could feel as comfortable in a bikini as they were. I want to put on weight so I can look as good as them in a bikini. Right now I'm 5'4" and weight 130 lbs. I want to gain 40 lbs, which would put me about 10 lbs short of obese. I don't want to be obese, but I want to be really voluptuous. I think I'd have more confidence if I had a bigger butt, bigger boos, and a rounder belly. I want to have a fat belly that I can show off in a bikini to make a statement against the "ideal" skinny bikini model. How can I put on weight, but not get stretch marks? How healthy would this be? Does anyone else think this is a good idea?

hmm. this is a really different view. but i like it. I personally wouldnt say to gain a lot of weight only because, you are not those people, you need to love your body for what it is, and if you think that, then so will others. Those girls you saw probably had no choice, but to learn that that's the body they were given, and it was probably harder to learn to love then you think.

but yea, if you wanna bulk up, eat a lot of meats/proteins and dairy.

You have to do it in a healthy way, because going to mcdonalds isnt gonna work, youll get lots of acne, and thats just gross.

Putting on 40lbs will NOT make you feel more comfortable in a bikini.

You are at a healthy weight now which is a great thing! What you need to work on is your self-confidence. Study why you are uncomfortable in a bikini and what the root issue is. But putting on weight is NOT the answer. It will not change how you feel and then you will have extra weight to deal with.

If you want to be a little more voluptuos, 10lbs couldn't hurt but weight is very easy to put on and very hard to take off. Do not do something drastic that you will regret.

Those heavier girls have great confidence (which is why the guys are after them) but I'd bet money that if they had the choice, they'd wish to be thinner.

this is the stupidest thing i have ever heard.

are you serious, you want to get FAT?

if your average/skinny you get to wear any kind of clothes you want without having gross bulges hanging out.

think about how you'll look in regular clothes other than a bikini.

if you gain 30 lbs, you'd havto wear a one piece cuss noone wants to c your fat hanging out.

mayb those guys were just attracted to big girls, but the truth is skinny wins over fat anyday.

be CONFIDENT IN YOUR CURRENT BODY AND YOU WILL LOOK HOT IN THAT BIKINI AND GUYS WILL LOVE YOU, if u cant ove urself how u r now, whats 30 lbs gunna do?

honestly i dont think its a good idea. i wouldnt just start 40 pounds. because you might not like it. its a lot easier to gain it than to lose it.so if your seriosuly considering it start off with a small gainable weight instead of jumping in to it. so i would start off by gaining maybe 10 pounds the most. because it took my sister since september to lose 17 pounds and its now march. and she works out everyday and runs. so it would take you 3 times as long as thatt. so i would give it a long thought before you do.
