my canary has no song, not even a chirp...why? And what do I do/?

I bought a canary at the store and she is blind. That I knew when I got her, as a matter fact thats why I took her. But she also has no song...is there anything I can do. Is she just adjusting to her new home?

She will need plenty of time to adjust to her new home before she chirps. Most female canaries don't sing. Since she's blind, she needs to know where everything is at in her cage. Make sure she gets used to where her food and water bowls are located. Canaries have a fast metabolism and can die within 24 hours without food. Your canary has all of its other senses, so talk to her to help her feel more comfortable. You can also put on some soothing music to calm her.
