I clean carpets & do water restoration with my truck mounted equipment and wanna start with cars. Price Ideas?
I've been in business doing alot of Carpet Cleaning & Water Damage Restoration Since 2005. I'm 19 years old and its my fathers business, he started it in 1995 and we have lots of commercial work. He went full time in 2005 and in 5 years he has gotten many Big accounts with commercial business. He makes great money but I just started with him full time in 2008, and he'll hand me $100 for 3 hours of work on a $1500 job or pay me $10 an hour when we do a bunch of small jobs throughout the day. I work no more than 20 hours a week and I have plenty of time in a week to bring in extra cash. I'm currently making around $2k a month but I'm still unable to keep up with my expenses. So my uncle who owns a body shop told me that since my truck has a fresh water tank, suction, and makes up to 1000 psi ($15k van mounted machine) I could go talk to all the owners at all the used car lots around town and see if they need anything done. We even have a 2 million dollar insurance policy. I have all the knowledge and capabilities of performing any kind of auto detail work and maintenance but I dont know how to go about charging for auto services, any ideas?
Services may include:
Interior Clean and/or detail
Exterior Clean and/or detail
Wax
Engine Cleaning
Upholstery Steam Cleaning
Every Afternoon they may want me to rinse and squeegee all the vehicles to keep them clean!!!

I would check out what your competitors are charging. Look up an auto detail company like a car wash etc in your area. You will need to be competitive. Good luck with your new venture!

it is not important in any respect what time of day, regardless of the undeniable fact that I prefer to have mine completed because of the fact the 1st appt. or early interior the morning so as that this is a few what dried before the toddlers get abode. The truck type carpet cleaners, commonly replenish sparkling water out of your place and then drain it someplace else. The grimy water isn't reused, regardless of the undeniable fact that who knows at present, they could have a filtration type kit now to shop water, like computerized vehicle washers. :-)
