How come after six months, the Nutella in my cupboard is still edible?

Any other food would have mold all over it...except for honey.

How does your nutella stay uneaten for that long? it's Delicious! Eat some every day then buy some more after you've been out for a week.

Nutella is also highly acidic as it's made from cocoa beans and ground nuts. The acid acts as a preservative.

    Untrue.

Most jams etc will last months, as long as they have a high sugar content.

Sugar free ones will probably have "Keep Refrigerated Once Opened" on the label.

because? It has a long shelf life? Maybe some preservatives? has hydrogenated oil in it which is just oil in solid form?

    isn't crytalline honey fun?
