Yes, but they wear quicker. Human hair is much thinner than dog hair and the clippers are designed as such. They dog versions cost more, but last longer in the long run. If you just want to do the basics, feet ears and face, it probably isn't too big of a deal....but the whole body might create a problem for you!

ADD: check out valley vet supply online. They sell equine and canine grooming supplies. Like I said, they cost a bit more, but will last longer. They have several versions on their website.

I have not had good experience with it. It will dull fast. Your man will be mad! Those plastic combs get caught up in hair etc. For a quick urgent job they will work in a pinch. I added a link to a fairly decent and well priced clippers for dogs. This will work just fine for a single pet owner who wants to groom their dog themselves. If you have multiple dogs I suggest a stronger clippers but you can't go wrong with this one.

You can get dog hair clippers at any pet store like Petco or Petsmart or places like Walmart or Target. I wouldn't use human clippers as they dull fast and the person that owns the clippers may not like you using them on your dog.

A clipper is a clipper. But you can easily buy dog clippers (good ones - Wahl, Andies, Oster) at Brown's kennel supply, KV Vet supply or Cherrybrook, all on the internet.

LOL Yes! Be warned, your man will most likely notice and be verrrrrry annoyed. Mens clippers dull fast and do not work nearly as well. If you are in a bind go ahead and clip away, just be prepared to deal with hubbies attitude!

Yes. My mom had to shave her friends dog since his coat was so bad and she didn't have any clipper's available so instead she used my dad's clippers. :) It will cut their hair but it can dull the blade quickly since a dogs fur is thicker compared to a human.

As for finding dog clippers, go to http://www.ryanspet.com/ and you can have them shipped to your house instead of having to go from store to store searching for them.

yes you can i just wouldnt let the man use them again but if you buy 'pet clippers', you will see, they are the SAME... might even cost you more.
