Will Catholic/Private High Schools accept D+ Students?
My high school acceptance letter arrives this friday! March 12 and I'm afraid I didn't get in! I already got my HSPT scores back, I got about an average overall on it, but my grades are HORRID. I'm afraid they wont accept me because of my grades. How hard is it to get into a Catholic high school? This high school is pretty small but VERY strict. I haven't even gone to the REQUIRED family interview yet because of family issues so we have yet to re schedule one..Is it too late? Will they reject me straight off the bat since I didn't attend the family interview or what will happen? I'm freaking out because my family isn't rich..we're quite poor and this is the only high school I applied to because of our family funds are low..It's my only chance to get out of going to public school which I really don't want to go to! Our public schools here are scary and have a bad reputation. Besides, I've never stepped foot in a public school before..Everyone of my friends are for sure getting into the high school I applied to but I'm worried about me not making it in...help me calm myself down? I'm tryingmy hardest but no matter how hard I work I still get D's... ):

Don't worry about the not getting accepted part there's nothing u can do now. I'm in 8th grade and go 2 a catholic school and lots of people in my class applied to catholic high schools. Many of them are D students and applied. What i would do is have your mom or dad call as soon as possible the school admissions office and ask to reschedule the interview. I know this next part sounds really dorky but talk to your teacher.....tell her u really want to get your grades up and ask her if there is anything u can do to get them up. Lots of people in my class didn't get accepted to catholic high schools and there going to charter schools. You should look into those as a back up plan because there like in the middle of catholic and public schools. Good Luck!!!

In my experience, private schools will take anybody with the money to pay for it. In fact, where I live, private schools are easier and have lower academic standards than the public ones.

go searching on the U of Arizona internet site and notice in case you will locate the tutorial averages of incoming newbies. that help you appreciate the place you stand. on the grounds which you have A's and B's in many different classes alongside with AP and IB classes, perchance those few C's and D's could drag your overall GPA down, yet your overall GPA may be sturdy sufficient to benefit admission. only prepare, you could no longer complication approximately it. yet prepare to better than one college so which you do no longer placed all your hopes on one place. in case you get rejected by potential of all of them, you recognize you're able to do away with those low marks by potential of retaking the assessments. otherwise, i'm particular you would be admitted. Write a sturdy admissions essay (why you prefer to attend their college, what your objectives are) and record all your voluntary/community contributions, if any. opt for your referees heavily to replicate what you're able to do (i might %. the teachers of the classes to procure A's in). sturdy success in stepping into college!

Well I guess it sort of depends on the rules of the school, but I think (sorry to break it to ya) probably they won't if the school is pretty strict. And if it's a private school.......I think no, sorry.
