I believe it's referring to people who think by being a good person or doing good deeds or giving to charity is enough to get them into heaven. There are many people who do good things but do they really believe on the name of Jesus? that is why in the next verse God didn't say "you didn't do enough for me" because they did do a lot. They cast out demons, they preformed miracles, but did the ever really know Jesus? did they have a relationship with him? did they really believe in their hearts that he is Lord?

Sounds pretty simple to me. He's referring to those people who pay lip service and hold titles within his teachings, but who never actually applied them wholeheartedly.
Essentially, he's talking about the posers.
What official camp you are in is neither here nor there - in these verses he is basically telling people that if they do not integrate the teachings into their own hearts and become the teachings, they're still up sh!t creek. A lie is a lie is a lie, and no matter how many times that lie is told (in this case the "we're good christians" lie) it has absolutely no effect on the reality at hand.

Jesus is saying that there are many people walking around claiming to be his child and is not. The persons are still in the flesh and are worshiping themselves instead of Him. They will not enter into heaven because they have not accepted Jesus and turned from their evil ways. The first step is repenting and turning from evil ways and accepting and doing what Jesus wants you to do.
Jesus has a plan for how He wants Christians to behave and how to treat others on this earth. He expect His children to obey Him. He already know the non-believers will go to hell if they do not repent and turn from their ways.
When we stand before Jesus, many will say Lord, Lord and Jesus will say depart from me you evil worker.
Jesus is warning those who do not accept Him and letting them know what will happen to them. They will be cast into the pit of hell to burn forever and ever without any relief.
All man kind will stand before Jesus and answer to the King of King and Lord of Lord.
Get ready for when Jesus shall return.
Peace Be Still.

There are people who say they are followers of Jesus, and who even think they are, but are still not doing what Jesus said we should. This is a warning to those people. We might think we are doing what is right and proper, but are we? We really need to examine what Jesus truly wants, and what we think he wants, or, when the time comes, we might discover that we had it wrong all along.

He is saying that salvation by faith is not true. He is saying that God judges people by their actions and not by their beliefs or associations.
This teaching is consistent with the bulk of the old testament, by the way. God in the old testament told people to do specific things, and they were called righteous if they did those things and avoided doing bad things. This is true both of Jews and of gentiles in the Hebrew scriptures.
According to Matthew, Jesus was not about founding a new religion with himself as the new god. He was teaching people that they needed to behave rightly and that God would reward those who did so.

Hes talking about people who live double lives. Such as drink and party and follow the ways of the world, while at the same time say they are christian and claim to have done his works. These people are considered lukewarm because they straddle the fence doing good works while giving into wickedness as well.

Nowhere interior the previous testomony is it prophesying approximately who 'Christians call Jesus" because of the fact the messiah. The prophesies of Isaiah have been alerted to in good shape the Christian doctrine it would not look in historic Hebrew and all the different prophesies of the Israelites are speaking of a prince. no longer a guy who turns into God Yahweh interior the flesh.

Hes talking to the hypocrites and unbelievers who will attempt to get on board when they finally have the proof that God is real and Jesus is Lord, but by then it will be to late. " Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believed ".

The preceding verse 20 says "by their fruits ye shall know them".
I think Jesus is referring to mankind in general. He is telling us that we can say and act like we know him and believe him, but he knows what is in our hearts and knows if we are sincere.
