Is there such a thing as a "gay ear"? Ear piercing Q.?

I want to get the cartilage in my right ear pierced (I have two lobe piercings in each ear at the moment) and my mom said that if I just got my right ear done, people would assume that I'm gay. Is that true? I thought that the whole "gay ear" thing was some fad in the 80's.

dude. it's not the 80's anymore. get it if you want it. you shouldn't care if people assumed if you were gay or not. which you're not. honestly, i don't think they will think that, anyways. so just get the piercing, man. :D

No one goes by that anymore. Some insecure straight guys still avoid getting their right ear pierced, but no one else cares.

Not true at all. There is no piercing that indicates someone's sexual orientation. Piercers will recommend that you get your ear pierced on the side opposite of the one you usually sleep on, since it results in less irritation and hurts less after you get it done.
