Ghanaian food is very different from Ugandan food, the only similarity between the two cultures is that they both eat plantain but both eat it in different ways. Cultures that have similarity to ghanaian foods are countries like Cameroon & Nigeria; but countries like tanzania and kenya have similar foods to Uganda. I know because I have eaten ghanaian, Nigerian, Cameroonian, SIERRA leone, liberian, ethiopian, & ugandan foods. From my experience Ugandan food are very different from Ghana in food. Check the links I posted and you will see the difference.

I am a Ghanaian and it sounds like you are confused with the names of the two countries. Ghana and Uganda are two different English speaking countries. Ghana is found in West Africa while Uganda is in the Eastern part of Africa.
It is difficult to describe one single culture in Ghana because there are more than 48 languages and tribes in Ghana. In Ghana, the most dominant ethnic grouping is the AKAN group which is made up of the Ashantis, Fantes, Akyems, and about 6 more other tribes each of which have quite a distinct culture. The most similar are the Ashantis and Akyems. In effect, there are many cultures in Ghana which makes it quite difficult to assign one culture to all the different Ethnic groupings.
I can imagine, this is a similar occurrence in Uganda and almost all African countries.
