Hearing my voice when speaking?

Well, my friends tell me that my voice is rather squeaky and high pitched, but when i hear myself talking its different and not really that squeaky but rather normal. They proved to me by recording my voice but I still feel weird. Is it just me or? By the way, i couldn't find a good section to categorize this in so...

Update:

just wondering haha

We all hear our voices differently when we speak because of the amount of soundwaves it goes through it changes when it comes back to us. Don't trust the recording or a phone though, they're not always accurate. If it bothers you so much try to go deeper, more monotone.
