Can you help me troubleshoot my laptop and TV please thank you?
I have a 42 inch Maxent MX-42VM11 and in the manual it says in order to connect your Laptop to it you need a RBG cable aka VGA cable. I've tried to connect it to my Acer Aspire 5532 Laptop and it makes a sound that its connected but it doesn't display on the TV. When I change the TV input to VGA it has a message that says does not support. I tried Changing the display settings but the display always says "1|2 Multiple monitors". When I press detect the numbers 1 and 2 show on my laptop screen. I know its connected because when I change the "Multiple Displays" dropdown menu to show only Desktop 1 or Desktop 2 the display menu changes from "1|2 Multiple Monitors" to MX-42VM11, which means its connected, but nothing changes. This is wierd, I dont know if this happens because my Maxent televesion does not support my laptop resolution, or if its something else. My laptop connects fine to my 19 inch LCD Dynex TV. Thank you in advance!!
