yea, idk i think people seriously need to stop whining about smokers...its not that bad and I don't mind people smoking at all and I don't even smoke...

What "rights" would those be? The laws affect both smokers and non-smokers alike. Smoking bans don't state that only "smokers" are not allowed to smoke. Non-smokers are also banned from "lighting up." A smoker has the right to choose to quit if he/she wants, and a non-smoker has the right to choose to start smoking if he/she wants. And both have the right to breath clean, smoke-free air when they go out to a bar or restaurant.
So please tell us one single "right" a non-smoker has that a smoker does not.

Come on...be fair - I am a smoker but I can understand how non-smokers would get fed up with having to breathe in secondhand smoke...it must be horrible! If I was a non-smoker (I wish!) I'd be pretty vocal about it too - I mean, they have the right to be healthy. we smokers do not actually have the right to injure the health of others, even if we are dumb enough to ruin our own health...

Smoking has been PROVEN to cause cancer, and passive smoke (that which is absorbed simply because the smoking is done indoors) has also been PROVEN to negatively impact (cause health problems for) nonsmokers who are exposed and breathe in the toxins. This tips the scales of social justice towards the non-cancer-causing nonsmokers and inspires businesses and public places to ban smoking---a proven health hazard. If the smokers are not smoking, they have equal rights and equal access, but when they smoke they are putting others at risk---something they do not have any right to inflict upon innocent others.

Because smokers endanger the health of those around them while they're smoking.
Individual rights are not meant to bring harm to other people. A non-smokers right to remain healthy is taken away if a smoker lights up near them. They've made the choice not to smoke for a reason.

Because a non-smoker does not effect the lungs of everyone in the vicinity.

You are confusing rights with protection. You have the right to smoke yourself to death, but non-smokers have the right to be protected from your smoke. Its that simple. If non smokers had gone outside of restaurants, bars and other public places to smoke and not bother others with their silly habit, we would not be having this conversation.

Because they are a whinging shower of gits that are only happy when screaming about their rights and care little for anyone else.
It has also been PROVEN in a scientific survey that hot babes prefer smokers.

Because even though some are full of hot air that air is not going to give you cancer.
