If you are talking about the last tax year, employers can now give duplicate forms P60, provided the forms are clearly marked as such. You won't get this year's until after 5th April. Employers are not allowed to give duplicate forms P45 for security reasons, but they can give details of either form P45 or form P60 in letter form, signed, and on headed notepaper. Or HMRC can give you whatever details they hold on a similar format, although they won't have received this year's pay and tax yet. Employers have to submit that between 6th April and 19th May. It does take a while to go through the system, though.

ring up your local tax office or your payroll office if you have a job they will be able to tell you. Failing that wait a couple weeks you will get your p60 for the end of the tax year

Ask your employer for a statement of earnings on headed paper. This is accepted by the Inland Revenue as a replacement.
