Vegetarian diet unhealthy?

Are there any valid medical sites that say a vegetarian diet is unhealthy? I have my list of groups that say it is healthy, but for fairness's sake I'd like to see if there's proof of the other side.

I'm not talking about individual cases; anyone can be malnurished and make bad choices no matter what diet they follow. I mean real valid medical or scientific groups that say vegetariansm is unhealthy.

Read the following according to the American Dietetic Association regarding vegetarian diets

"It is the position of the American Dietetic Association that appropriately planned vegetarian diets, including total vegetarian or vegan diets, are healthful, nutritionally adequate, and may provide health benefits in the prevention and treatment of certain disease,”.

The China Study (The largest nutritional study done to date) states that the vegetarian diet is the healthiest. It also suggested supplements are important in strictly vegan diets.

A vegetarian diet is extremely healthy due to the fact of no consumption of red meat which is a severe cause of acne and weight gain. There is certain proof that a vegetarian diet can be unhealthy(like in my case) from lack of iron(im iron-deficiency anemic) and protein is a major issue(I usually eat peanut butter and egg rolls...yum) But other than that and a few idiviual causes, a vegetarian diet is healthier.

I could not agree extra! It is difficult guilty the omnivores for pondering matters like "you wish to have meat" regardless that. Nutrition is poorly taught in colleges and the beef enterprise is VERY robust. As a vegetarian, the "vegetarianism is healthful" mind-set irks me much more. Simply chopping meat out of your nutrition is not going to make you more fit or reduce weight! There are lots of junk-meals vegetarians in the market! Vegetarians DO get a few vitamins-similar diseases (anemia, low bone density, iodine deficiency, and so forth.) at a better fee than meat eaters. In their try to suggest vegetarianism, too many vegetarians hype-up the "advantages" of vegetarianism and make fake claims like "vegetarians are not looking for as a lot calcium or protein as meat eaters." I DO feel that vegetarianism is more healthy than an unrestricted nutrition however accordingly: -Vegetarians must learn the components on the whole thing they consume. So, they become aware of the entire crap that's placed into meals and are extra proficient and for that reason more likely to make greater choices approximately what they consume.

Vegetarianism is misconstrued by most. They think they're vegetarian as long as they don't eat meat, so they eat nothing but chips cookies and macaroni and cheese. Just eating crap, they will become mal-nourished because they are not absorbing any proteins or other cruicial vitamins needed to be healthy. So Its still up to the consumer to choose the right foods to eat. Both vegetarians and meat eaters can become very unhealthy by eating badly. Simply cutting out meat does not make someone much healthier. There are many meat eaters who are healthier than vegetarians, and many vegetarians healthier than meat eaters.

That's not possible. If a site indicates that vegetarian diets can't be healthy, they are not valid.

I never heard of a vegetarianism diet to be unhealthy, except for the fact that you don't get as much protein as you do if you ate meat.
