Should Manny Pacquiao fight Edwin Valero instead of Floyd Mayweather Jr.?

Like any other business, boxing needs to feed the appetite of the multitude of boxing fanatics and sports enthusiast. However, boxing is not only all business but it is a sport. Thus, you do not really squander away a fighters strength over some over ambitious opponent who couldn't even fight in the Nevada ring.

Sadly, Valero neither measure or even qualify to be Pacman's opponent. He is in stock market term having no par value in the real sense. For one, Mayweather without a title belt in his waist is just another great fighter who has passed through the netherworlds. His fight with Pacman doesnt really add anything to Pacman. Moreso, If and when the fight pushes through, its going to be one BIG EGO fight and nothing more, truly exciting but only for sheer entertainment.

In the end, Pacman doesn't really gain anything except probably additional money in his purse which at present time he does not and no longer need. Pac moan has nothing more to prove. He is the best Pound for Pound fighter in boxing history and every other wanna be boxer wants a piece of him for publicity purposes and to cash in from the fight.

Floyd Mayweather after his comeback from retirement is probably in need of the money and as he had publicly admitted, he was underrated and wasn't really given the acknowledgment he ought to have during his glory days in boxing.

In the final analysis, this could be a trilogy between Pacman, Mosley and Mayweather which ultimately would have a negative effect or draw back from the boxing community and enthusiasts.
