Now Basically to sum it all up my definition of Spirituality is something that you feel and have that's far beyond the physical{something you can see, feel, or touch}. If you choose to follow Christ you are making spiritual progress. If you feel in your heart that you are living his word and acting more like him and you actually feel a closeness and imtimacy to Him you are progressing spiritually. Anything that brings you closer to God is spiritual progress. It doesn't have to be somethings major

To know one's real self to be different than the temporary body.

The temporary body is made up of gross and subtle elements, whereas the spirit soul is eternal and is full of knowledge and bliss.

Knowing this establish spiritual relationship with the supreme spirit or God.
