while on my laptops (and computer) and on the interenet i will get a pop up that says this :Windows Internet Security
Your browser is under the threat of infection. Windows requires your permission to install online protection tool.

then it says:
Your browser is run in unsafe mode. Running the protection mode will help you to keep your computer safe. Staying at the suspicious website in unsafe mode may lead to the loss of personal data and computer breakage. To run the web browser in protected mode Windows requires installing the certified antivirus scanner software and online protection tool.

I always exit out of it bc i dont know if its real or if its a virus or something.. its showing up a lot now and on our other lapto&#92;p and computer.. what do i do?/ thanksss

Do a virus scan IMMEDIATELY. It's a virus and when you click 'allow' that's how the virus gets into your computer, and it also gets into your computer when you click on the pop up

your virus protection will probably not detect anything wrong...this virus usually disables it or masks itself.
Everyone I have personally known who encounters this pop up has to take their computer for repair.
I have encountered it. I do not click anything...not even closing it. I immediately reboot and have not been to my knowledge effected.
Others who have tried even just closing the window or clicking disallow have found it soon pops up more and more and more until the system can no longer function.
