    The SOL starts on the date of last activity...usually the date of the last payment....Are they actively suing you...having you received a summons?

    ================================

    6 years....usually starting on the date that you defaulted or made a last payment on....not the date that the account was opened.

    If the number of years since you defaulted on this account and stopped making payments on it is greater than 6 years, then they can no longer defeat you in any court action because the debt is time-barred and you don’t have to pay it back.
