What do you think about this tattoo idea?

I have 2 tattoos of my own. The first is on down my spine (several Kanji letters) and the other is pretty large (on the back of my neck). I believe that you should get a tattoo if it is representational or something that you believe in strongly and that will be an extension of "you". However, it is a life-long commitment. Though I don't believe you'll ever regret getting something that expresses your love for your grandma, I DO think you should take some consideration of the location. It WOULD in fact be absolutely gorgeous on your lower hip bones, however, my only pet-peeve with those who get tats on their rib cages or feet, side of necks, hands, etc. is just this. How will the placement of your tat look when you're an elderly person, AND how will it look when trying to get a professional job (if that's in your future at all). Though many of us who choose to tattoo believe that discrimination and judging us because of our body art is ridiculous, it is still a fact of life that isn't likely to change...ever. I would just take into consideration that this piece will be part of you FOREVER. It's a huge decision not to be taken lightly...or spontaneously. I've been debating for years whether or not to get a wrist tat that I have wanted for years now. I've even considered "sleeves" or a "half-sleeve" on one arm, but the reminder/issue that keeps coming to mind is "how will this look when I'm 70!!" or when I'm going to work (as I do office/administrative work). SO, yes. You're hip bones are discreet, but will you be the same weight forever? Do you plan on getting pregnant someday? All of these things will play a role with the "aging" of your piece and how it will look with some weight on you and of course the aging of your skin. My advice would be to start out small and discreetly. Somewhere "hide-able" if you need to do so. Perhaps on your back or somewhere that isn't likely to morph if you were to gain some weight or experience some "sag" with age. That's just me though. Good luck, and consider this as a "life-changing" decision. Tats are beautiful...but not to be taken lightly : )

hmmm, its a good idea! 3 inches is quite small to have 1 either side on your hips, i think if you want to get them and a quote it might look better to have them together? Maybe on1 of your shoulder blades with a scroll underneath with your text in it. because you want more than 1 element i just think it might look better to have them together. You could always get a friend to draw the outlines on you in different places (just a basic drawing) so you can see how it would look?

The only concern i have is that if you have them on your hips and a quote between them , if you have a baby, gain any weight and just generally with age they will stretch, tattoos hold out much better on your back then the stomach.

With all that in mind it is your own decision and if you have your mind set dont let others sway your decision!

Infinity and peace sign are so overdone, and I know so many people with them. It would of been a good idea if you could of told us the kind of things you like... do you like animals for example? are you into traveling, maybe a small world map or a compass. I don't know..

i think it would be beautiful. i hate when people get tattoos only because they think they look cool. this will mean something to you and i love angel wings. they will look good on your hips. :)

I will suggest you, one thing whatever your heart say do that, because feelings and emotions are attached with the heart.
