East Coast vs. West Coast. who wins?

my opinion West Coast

to break down the East VS. West... it isn't about Pac and biggie and there beef. West is style, looking fly, slang and catch phrases mixed with street life. The east coast is more gutter, you see it in there style and how they dress and talk... Lyrically, the east is lyrically superior, the west is slang and style... The west at its peak is bigger than the east ever was, but since the beginning of rap music... the east coast overall has the bigger legacy... The west has been declining since the late 90's and even Snoop is only barely hanging on... and that's just because Snoop is a global rap icon yet lyrically his best album was his debut album and he isn't even writing his new songs... The east although has been second to the new south for several years, is still currently way ahead of the west coast... the death of biggie and 2pac didn't do anything to resolve this question for you...

I dont think there is a winner. The reason people get exposed to more East Coast rappers is cause they get more Radio Play across the country, even in California(California shows no love to homegrown rappers excpet Snoop and Cube if that or if you pay a grip of money like the new boyz). Nothing wrong with that cause radio sucks anyways, but theres a bunch underground rappers in California that keep hip hop in its pure original form as Im sure there is in the East. It all comes down to which style you like better. I personally prefer that california Underground and g-funk sound. hit me up for some Artists names if you want to try listening to something new.

In My opinion east coast rap/hip hop music is better, I still like west coast but east has so many more talented rappers

I think West Coast won because we still have a lot of people left Dr Dre that make the best beats umm. YG, TYGA(Thank You God Always), Snoop Dogg, Game but theres a lot but EST Coast did play there role tho so that was my answer West Coast.

2pac died in 96 & Biggie died in 97. Hmmm, the last man standing is Biggie so the east coast won. It's obvious the east is still winning beacuse it's alot of rappers from New York, New Jersey, Philly, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Chi Town, & D.C. I mean, the west coast rappers have calm down a lil bit for awhile. The only rapper is keeping the west alive is Snoop Dogg, the rest of them west coast rappers have dissapear.

Probably the East Coast because more of their rappers are still coming out with music. But 2Pac was better than all of them. But it's no use. Rap is slowly dying because of the pop rappers. Only the underground rappers are keeping it alive.

The only good west coast rappers you mentioned are 2Pac and Ice Cube. They are top 10 rappers. Snoop is a top 40 rapper Nate dogg isn't even a rapper Eazy e is a top 60-70 rapper What's wrong whit these people......???

East coast definitely cause of Nas, Jay-z, Big L, tons of other rappers
