95 ford f150 shift solenoid?

Put an OBD II scanner on it and it read 621 shift solenoid #1 malfunction where is this located?

    shift solenoids are usually in the valve body, i think on your 95 tho you need a transmission range sensor,,write back and tell us what its doing..that'll help us help you!

    Change transmissionfluid, adjusted slack in linkage, it takes it a long time to engage into drive, if I place drive lever on 1 - 2 and than D it works smoothly. I took the shift selenoid out & thought there might be some way to ck it with a volt ohmns meter.
