Xbox 360. OR Playstation 3.....?

ps3 is the better choice. the whole XMB is easier to use than xbox. it plays blu-rays. all games are blu ray disks. if you want final fantasy XIII, its three disks on xbox, and only one for ps3. if ya wanna go retro and switch disks. i think they have better games. unless you like halo, but i think its stupid to buy a system for one specific game.

PS3. You get Blu-Ray and loose internet so if the 360 on my own is extra value-effective you're saving funds someplace else reason a HD-DVD rigidity for the 360 is like £one hundred twenty. Eesh tough question. I have owned both consoles and I enjoyed them both pretty equally.

In terms of graphics, the systems are nearly identical (if you can spot a huge difference then you must have really good eyes).

In terms of games, 360 definitely has more. However, the 360 exclusives range more on the side of action based multiplayers (Halo, Gears, etc.), whereas the PS3 exclusives tend to be more 'artsy' and more visually interesting or single player focused (Uncharted, Heavy Rain, God of War III, etc.). That said, you'll still probably find that the best games are for both systems.

The online experience is definitely better for 360. Its easy to find stuff, its easy to chat with friends, and it's definitely worth $50 a year. The PS3's online experience...well...has a lot of "potential". I find it hard to locate things in the store, and simply reading messages is a little tedious (go to 'messages', go to 'received', find your message). 360, on the other hand, just click the center button right after receiving the message and you'll go right to it. Easy.

Last is controllers. 360 wins here, but i still kinda like the Dualshock 3. The 360 controller fits in your hand perfectly, the triggers are sweet, and the joystick placement works pretty well; but I find the PS3 joysticks to be more sensitive and less "sticky" feeling, so I'd go with the PS3 controllers. Then again, it all depends on what you're used to.

SO! to answer your question, both are great. I like PS3 better, but that's really just cause most of my friends play PS3. :P

UGHHHH im in this same dilemma(my bro broke my xbox and gave me his ipod so im lookin into a new console). PS3 supposedly has better graphics and the free internet. It just about has the same games as 360. 360=more war shooters n what not, but it has more like i guess rpgs like elder scrolls and stuff.

can create parties with friends and talk in game. great way to pass time

new elite bundles have mega harddrive

plays dvd

comes with a mic

is able to multitask

Able to install games on the hardrive

hooks up with zune mp3 players

cons:

marketplace is more complicated and divided up

live costs money

money for content in marketplace is in points, not dollars

controllers need batteries straight outta the box

All the Ps3 fans are just stating free stuff

On the 360, you have a slicker dashboard,partys,private chat,windows live chat,sometimes play with celebs,good deals on arcade games,early exclusives such as GTA expacs and MW2 map packs

Sure Microsoft is greedy but its all worth it

There are rumors of a 360 slim coming out,and USB compatibility for stuff like storing games,videos,arcade games,etc..

but if you were to buy a Ps3 I would recommend the Splinter Cell 360 coming out, great game and great system.

360 also has alot of contests were you can win tvs,games,home theaters...

You can express yourself more as well and we got better games

edit: it has instant 1080p,zune,last fm,other stuff and not to mention Microsoft stated its fighting back Blu-Rays huge Gb with it being more digital,sure your gonna need a bigger hard drive but as i stated you can get USBs and their cheap

xbox 360 is way better the only argument people make with a ps3 is that it has free internet access and it also has bluray but thats it with xbox360 a lot more people are on and the games are more populated so you will enjoy the shop has more items in its inventory and ps3 has much fewer games.

I would have to say the PS3, it's awesome, on the 360 you have to PAY to play online, on the OUTSTANDING PS3, it's 100% FREE!! And who doesn't like free stuff?? But it's up to your preferences. Look up some reviews, check out what games there are, then decide =)

Definitley PS3. Im sure most of your friends own the XBOX but moslty everyone now is moving onto ps3. Basically PS3 is better now because it has FREE internet but for exbox you have to pay. The PS3 is overall just cheaper and more fun to play it comes in a slim too!

No doubt in my mind Xbox is better.All your freinds most likly play on the 360 and its cheaper and better and has halo3 and you will very much want that ps3s suck.

Ive had both

Ps3- free internet, not RROD , blu ray (lol) , hardrive upgrade (notebook HD) not loud like 360

360- Comfortable controller , some more games , alot of awesome cases to upgrade to and just fun to play i think They are both great systems that have their pros and cons
