I have a Toshiba laptop. I noticed my driver light is blinking.?

I have noticed for about the past 3 weeks my driver light on the laptop has been blinking and sometimes it goes out. Is it suppose to do that? I don't remember it ever doing it before. I know I had a bad battery connection, but that has been fixed. I do not know anything about the hard driver so any help would be great. Thanks

Driver light????? Whats a driver light??? If you mean the hard drive activity light, yes, it is supposed to blink. When it is on, the hard drive is being accessed, which happens more the more you are using your computer. If it happens excessively, this means you need more RAM because it is using the page file too much (page file is a part of the hard drive that the computer uses as RAM when it doesn't have enough)

I also have a Toshiba laptop. The hard disk light blinks when the hard drive is accessed. It may be loading up temporary files. Then it will blink like a machine gun. Be sure to delete your temp files often and defrag your computer at least weekly. This will help keep your computer maintain the speed you want.
