Canon eos 1000f a DSLR or flim camera?
is canon eos 1000f a digital camera or a flim camera?
cause the picture of a canon eos 1000f looks like a DSLR, but the person said that it was taken on a Fuji Superia 400 X-TRA film, which I dont know which one he was referring to, the canon eos 1000d or the canon eos 1000f. So i was wondering if eos 1000f is a flim camera or a digital camera?
this is the photo:

You cant tell the difference between many DSLRs and SLRs simply by looking. The 1000F is a film camera.

Uhm, I'm sorry but you really shouldn't be buying one. As many people have said, yes, you need a lens. And you'll probably find you'll eventually want more than one lens. If the body only is all you can afford, then you can't afford the camera. Think of it this way, if you can scrape together the cash to have a custom made rollsroyce built (one with every extra that can feasably be fitted in a car), but after that can't afford to buy an engine for it, or pay the taxes, or pay for fuel, then you can't afford the car. And considering your experience level is at the point where you don't realise that a lens is necessary, you'll probably be waaay better off buying an entry level Canon DSLR (if you buy it with FX lenses, then if you do eventually find you want the 5D Mark II or whatever new full-frame camera exists at that point, your lenses will most likely be compatible).

icedout,
No no, there was an original picture of someone with a 1000f, see. Then someone took a picture of that picture with a 1000d. And then someone took a picture of the screen with the picture of the 1000f on the 1000d with a 1000f. I think.
It's one of those "if you put instant popcorn in a microwave, can you go back in time?" things.

The picture you linked is a picture of a 1000D.. a DLSR. The person who uploaded it just fails at making descriptions.
A 1000F --> http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/cla...
First of all, has no Screen at the back. Another is that the "Mode Dial" is flat, compared to 1000D's "Mode Dial" Another difference is that the 1000F has a top screen while 1000d has none.
in conclusion:
1000F = Film
1000D = Digital
