Garmin Nuvi maps update?

I have a Garmin Nuvi 680 but still have the old maps from the time I bought it, is there any way I can download free updates on the maps ?

    Garmin map updates are not free.

    Edit:

    Beautiful is wrong. There are no free map updates available for the 680. Some newer Nuvis are eligible for free map updates but the 680 has been discontinued and any map update must be purchased.

    Go to the website. You need your usb cord.....My Garmin did not come with a usb cord other than the charger but I have like a million usb cords from various phones I've had in the past and those work just fine.

    THE GUY ABOVE SAYS THEY'RE NOT FREE BUT I JUST UPDATED MINE THE OTHER DAY AND IT WORKED, I SAT THERE AND WATCHED IT COMPLETE AND I NO LONGER HAVE THE MESSAGE ON MY GARMIN TELLING ME TO UPDATE THE MAPS, BEFORE I UPDATED THE MESSAGE WOULD SHOW UP EVERYDAY TELLING ME TO UPDATE MY MAPS. U HAVE THE OPTION TO BUY OR JUST UPDATE
