guys this is a question for you..?

brief history...i had been talking to this guy that i went to school with. we haven't spoken in 5 years, he's in the military stationed a few states away. we talk for two months..phone, texts, emails, lots of pics exchanged. he sends flowers. he's constantly saying God put me in his life. he is being deployed next month...tells me he'd love it if i waited on him. Finally gets home...avoids seeing me...finally get to hang out. he starts backing off and talking less and less. finally says "i think you are looking for a lot more than i can give you right now"

i am a little bummed...but nothing that is breaking my heart...just wondering from a guy's point of view..just from what i gave u...would u say he was ever serious? was i just a distraction? could a guy really be that cruel?
