Will Obama now require everyone to purchase a GM car or face fines and prison?

utilising is a privilege. via that, having to purchase motor vehicle coverage to be in a position to imbide in that privilege could be mandated. Can Obama or the different entity rigidity you to purchase a GM motor vehicle? If the Obamacare ruling doesn't put off, that is totally conceivable. residing isn't a privilege, that is a correct. To mandate that is necessary purchase something basically because you stay isn't constitutional. for instance : could the authorities be in a position to mandate that you purchase aparagus? inspite of each little thing, asparagus is reliable for you no matter if you wish asparagus or not. Like asparagus, that is a reliable idea to have health coverage, yet must you be forced to purchase it? in line with the U. S. structure, the answer is not any to both questions.

Two problems with your analogy: 1) the health care bill does not force you to buy something from any particular company and 2) The health care bill does not have any criminal penalties for not buying the insurance, just a tax. If you don't pay tax you owe, you may go to prison (though that's rare anyway), but that's not a new thing.

Oh come on now! Cars pollute the environment so that will never happen. Since everyone needs and uses power, though, the govt could maybe require you to buy a windpower generator.

If this bill is allowed to stand, that would be legal.
