Converting this value to vector form?

I've got to model motion on a plane using a visual modelling program the object is accelerating down a slope under gravity (9.81ms^-2) the angle of the slope is 30 degrees i need to write the value for the acceleration in vector form for the vertical and horizontal components

    X component = value * cos(angle)

    Y component = value * sin(angle)

in this case I guess 'value' is gravity.

make sure that the angle is based off of 0 degrees being on the positive side of the X axis.

Also beware of degree to radian issues as well and convert where necessary.
