I just started my period?...?

I started my period today and haven't had ANY cramps so far. I know some people just DON'T get cramps.

My Questions: So i was wondering if I might be one of those people who don't get cramps, or will I maybe get cramps later? Did you not have cramps but got them later, always had cramps, or Never had cramps?

Or would I just have to wait and see...

Btw I'm going to turn 13 in like 2 months.

I wanna know so I know that if I get cramps next time that means I have my period, or if I'll just have to count the 28 days cus I wont get cramps at all.

Thanks for answering!

It's pretty unpredictable at this point. Most women will get period cramps at least once in their lifetime. I remember when I first got my periods I got no pain either but in about a year's time I got my first cramp! Luckily though, I don't get them often.

Ask your Mum or other female relatives if they get cramps and that might determine whether or not you'll get cramps too (genetics play a big part with the way a body functions).

Some women are lucky and never get cramps; often you develop cramps when your period becomes regular and heavier, which it probably won't be for a while as you've just started it. Use the counting method for now even though it's likely that it will not be very accurate for a while.

Don't count on your very first ever period. When you get your period your body is still maturing and developing so it may take a couple of period or forsome even up to a year till they become regular same heaviness etc. Same wit cramps.

So you'll just have to wait it out and see what happens.. :)

I get cramps during every period lasting for 4 days and my period always last for 8 days, so I'm always in pain for half of my period! They usually start on the first day I start bleeding. Welcome to womanhood!
