How To Get My Dad To Say Yes To Getting A Turtle?

Question

I've really been wanting to get an oblong tortoise for a while now, and every time I ask my dad always says 'you have too many pets'. I don't think I do at least, I have a budgie, a Stimsons Python, and a yabbie (small crayfish). There's also Millie the family dog too. I tried aking him nicely, but he always has the same answer. Has anyone got any ideas or tips please???

second, I'm having the same problem, I've wanted an African Sideneck turtle for awhile now
but i'm close to convincing him
I have a guppy, 2 Australian rainbow fish, and a Plecostomus in my aquarium, and have a family cat and dog.
But i'm convincing him slowly by saying i'm bringing to college, and I'm studying marine biology in college and giving him time to think about it.

Why don't you ask you daddy to get you some consoling to find out why you seem to need so much unconditional love? I realize all you pets are different, yet you are clearly a younger version of the crazy old lady with 50 cats. Please, get some help.

Tell him you want to become a wildlife carer, and depending on whether you are able/recquired to have one, do some research and present him with some cold hard facts. That may convince him that you are serious.

Steal his beer, and write a ransom note using letter cutouts of magazines. Include that you want a turtle in return. Be careful though, this could have bad results lol
