Keep in mind that projectors require a dark room and ideal only for watching movies. Projector lamps only last 2,000 hours and cost for a lamp starts at around $200. A decent projector 1080P will cost you around $1,500, a projector screen a minimum of $250 and you will need a surround sound system also. I do use a Panasonic projector for watching blu ray disc movies only. Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read the reviews on projectors. I think Jan.. Fed. or March issue had a listing of all projectors. You are better off buying a Plasma tv from Panasonic 65" for under $2,000 at Costco. Hope this will help you out.

You don't use a projector onto just any surface. You need use it with a dedicated projection screen. Anything else is useless. Good screens start at £200 or so.

You need to measure how far from the screen you will be sitting, how big a picture you want and how far from the screen you can site the projector. You then find a projector that works best within those ratios.

You can buy reasonable projectors for about £700 - £800, but you really need to spend over £1,000 for something decent.
