If you use Windows as your operating system, you must have Microsoft Office Picture Manager. Open your pics with this program and you can do a lot of editing like resizing, cropping, etc.

This one is very user friendly: http://www.imageconverterplus.com/ You can resize even hundreds of photos at once, plus there are lots of other useful functions.

try and change the image resolution to be the same one as the movie you are making.that should work. and play around with the movie export settings in movie maker.
