i have a permanent retainer which causes bad breath, what can i do?
i have a permanent retainer on my bottom teeth and no matter how often or how well i brush, my breath always smells bad. what can i do?

Have you tried mouth wash? A good mouth wash should help clean the retainer better than brushing and will help kill the bacteria that causes bad breath. Or you could even try that new isoactive tooth paste. It is suppose to really be able to get into crevasses that you can't get to when brushing.
And to other people answering... it is PERMANENT! You can't take it out, clean it, and put it back in like you have suggested... It is in there for good, you can't take it out when you eat or anything.

well what i do is i rinse it under the sink.then i get an old toothbrush , put a little bit of toothpaste on it and i scrub the retainer. Then i wash it all off.

i have one too you need to rise your mouth out with listerine and get your teeth cleaned
