First you need a player that will play avi format. So you can make sure that the video you downloaded is actually the one you wanted. I would recomened vlc or gom player. Than you need a converter/burner that will convert it to NTSC or PAL format depending on what country you live in. NTSC is America and PAL is europe. I use convertX2dvd. Its very easy to use and you can use the trial version first. I have went through many different converters/burning programs before i found this one it works great.

I've done a lot of work on burning DVDs, here's some things you need...

1. the format is .AVI, this is typically a DivX format, and since players with Media Player and DivX support are VERY RARE/EXPENSIVE, you will need to change the format...

2. the format for it to play in any random DVD player is MPEG-1, and it is about 1.3gb per 60 minutes

alternatively if you know what you are doing and have the program that can do it, use the following formula for ultra -compression::

MPEG-1, 352x240, Video Data Rate 1602 kbps CBR, Audio data rate 224 kbps, Audio Sampling Rate 48 kHz, Frame Rate 29.97 fps

The process to copy your dvd's isn't as simple as just putting the disk in and copying it. you need specific software that can rip the content from the disk. Also, this software has to remove or bypass the block that is put on all dvd's. This block is to prevent people from doing exactly what you are doing. But since you are making copies of DVD's that you own, (or let's hope you are) you can make legal backups of them. The program that I recommend using is called DVDFab. It is a dvd ripper, burner, and unblocker all-in-one. If you don't like it, or don't get finished before the free trial runs out, you can use DVDShrink. But you will need to get AnyDVD to do the unblocking, and Nero or some other burning software to do the burning. AnyDVD recommends getting Nero because it can work with it and do the burning automatically. I personally don't like using DVDShrink because I have had problems with the sound getting behind the picture. So my recommendation is to download DVDFab. It will do everything you need it to do. The only downfall is that it has a 30 day trial. I think. After that, you have to pay for it. Hope this helps!!!

You need to convert it to DVD format using software such as WinAvi or ConvertX2DVD

Get rid of BitLord and install uTorrent instead. BitLord is not a safe torrent client to be using, it has known security and privacy issues.
