What do the questions on the current US Census tell us about the Obama Administration?

I couldn't help but notice that this is the first census in the history of the US census without a place to describe your employment or job title.

It Does however, retain the race question--something I find disturbingly similar to the pre-civil war slave census.

The questions were established by the Democrat controlled congress before Obama took office, so it doesn't say anything about his administration.

What it does tell us is either that the Democrats want to conceal what the real unemployment statistics are because they don't want anyone to know how bad things really are, OR they simply don't care if you have a job.

The race question is clear evidence that the Democrat agenda continues to be as racist as that of the Nazi party.

The race question is critical to the budget, as it is a determinant for the extent of privileges extended to certain 'racial' groups, (c.f. Apartheid in America,) and by doing so, maintains the myth that there is more than one race of humans on this planet.

I doubt that it says anything about the Obama Administration as the Census Bureau has been working the form up over several years now. I sincerely doubt that this is the first ever census to not have a place to list your employment or job title, and neither is particularly necessary for a census.

  • The questions on the current census were set long before the President took office. I'm constantly baffled by people who seem to think that the President has a hand in every little detail of government operations. In fact, as head of the administrative branch, he has almost no impact or knowledge on the minutiae of public policy.

I think librarya is missing the point. I think Vitki is asking if the government is racist. If asking if something or someone is racist is a racist remark, then your response is just as racist as the question.

I agree that the government doesn't want the populace to know how bad unemployment really is, because they don't want to get voted out of office, which they would be if people really knew what a terrible job both parties have been doing for so long.

Under the race question I answered Other (Human).

I advise others to do the same, because I also agree that perpetuating the idea that there is more than one race can have only one conclusion: Another Holocaust.

It doesn't tell us much at all, this has been in the works since the last one ten years ago. Individual administrations don't have all that much to do with its writing.

I've filled out my share of forms over the years, I recall a question about race being on all of them.

Oh please, you people will look for anything to attack Obama for. This questionnaire has been 10 years in the making. They probably did a study to determine what questions are important for government purposes and what isn't. I don't agree with the race question and answer human. But the race questions has been there forever, so don't try to make out like it's something new and evil.

People are probably most likely to like about their jobs. In the current economic climate (created by GW and his policies), a lot of people are un and underemployed, so it would not be an accurate representation of what people normally do. For purposes of determining funding and community needs, the answers to jobs isn't relevant. Income is relevant. There are other ways to determine number of doctors and nurses in an area, or fire and police. So it's not relevant and a lot of people find that question even more intrusive than the race questions.

Your question is racist. If they used the same questionnaire if McCain had won (and they probably would have), you would never have thrown in the slave census comment.

The questionnaire is the same whether it was Obama or you as president.

The problem is "WHY did they put the census under the White House control"?

Not much. I think you are just trying to stir up controversy where none exists.
