Some of my new Xbox 360 games aren't booting up? Why?
Okay my son has bought new games (some New & used games don't work) for his 1 year old Xbox 360; it says unable to read disc. These game are NEW! What is the Problem? We checked for scratches and marks; Disc are NEW & used are in excellent condition. HELP, any tips????

i got an air compresser and blew gusts of air into the disc drive , which blew the dust away and out from the cd drive.

Okay this will sound weird, but if it reads unable to read disc. Then yes the laser is getting weak, if you don't have the means to repair it in the near future, there is a technique you could try. When the cd is inserted moderatley bang an inch or so above where you place the cd. There are many videos on youtube. Just type "how to fix xbox 360 open tray error fixed"

The disc reader inside your xbox is getting weak it will need a repair. Happened to mine once.

my husband is having the same problem. He looked it up the other day and alot of people were saying the laser that reads the disk might be fading out.

oh no...
your laser in your xbox is dusty/broken.
just get some compressed air and shoot it right inside. if that didn't work...bad news. call up xbox support line and hopefully they'll help you =]
