To me, one thing might relate to the other depending on the situation. If both are adult and in love, when both hug each other, i am sure the next action will be kissing and so on. But, i prefer kissing more than hug. It is very exciting and enjoyable as well as romantic.
What i mentioned above is for those in love or couples.
There are other ways to interpret hugs and kisses, such as parental, family, friends and so on. Just for your information, in my hometown, there are a lot of difference races. Therefore, we greet each other in difference ways and styles.
1) Some will hold up there hands,
2) Some will bow,
3) Some will hug,
4) Some will hug and kiss both sides of the cheeks,
5) Some will shake hand, etc..

I think hugs are meaningful because a hug can be used in many forms of relationship like friendship, boyfriend/ girlfriend etc. and can mean love, friends, saying goodbye, comforting etc. A kiss also does mean a lot but can't be used as diversely so if i had to pick i think hugs are a lot more meaningful.

Kisses of any form are more meaningful to me - whether they be on the mouth or the cheek. I hug a lot of my acquaintances who aren't very close to me, just to say hi or bye. I would only kiss those who mean a lot to me & are close to me.

hmm well i guess it dependz? like, there are different ways you can hug, or kiss, if the guy kisses you when you're sleeping, i think thats realllllly meaningful because it's a kiss he wants to give you, not has to. hugging too, they're both tied i guess????

Kisses are very meaningful with the right person otherwise there's no point.
Hugs don't share the same connection as a kiss does...but they're still very enjoyable =)

obviously a kiss, assuming you mean a kiss on the lips and not the cheek. either way, kiss > hug
when do you ever kiss someone without at least giving them a partial hug at the same time?

Hugging closely and feeling the heat of another person is beautiful, kissing is intimate and exciting, I've always thought of them as complimentary rather than options :)

kiss is more powerful compared to a hug, you cannot kiss any one but a hug is given to someone special . kiss=intimate $ hug=any one you like
