Where in Rome to shop only for Made in Italy stuffs?

No brands for me. Just want to buy made in Italy products - clothes, accessories, handbags, shoes. Many times I pickup a product and it's made in china. Nothing against made in china as a tourist you would like to bring home souvenirs/articles that is made in that country. Suggestions anyone?

Please provide exact address so I can map them out in a map to follow. Thank you.

Ok basic rule, everything that;s sold in shops and costs more than 20 euros is real, everything sold on the streets is fake..

The best place for designer clothes at good prices is at the Castel Romano Outlet. Here you will find all the designer outlets which are cheaper because they sell the collections of the past season. You do need a car to get here because its at about half an hour from the city centre. You won't see any tourists here.

First, no you can't just use American money here with the exception of some international airports. You're better off spending the local currency there though because you'll get a poor exchange rate. If you exchange money before you come, the best bet is at the bank where you have an account - not all branches do currency exchanges, but usually at least the main branch of a bank will. However, you can also just use an ATM card to withdraw money. Here, it's called a bancomat, but they're all over the place and most of them are on the main international circuits. Just don't make a lot of small withdrawals if your bank doesn't reimburse you for ATM fees from other banks (mine does). There are a lot of good places to shop here. It works pretty much like in the states - you'll see a some of the same stores. However, you won't find it cheap here for most things. Right now, $400 is worth 305.82 euro. You won't actually get that much when you exchange your money though because of the charges for the exchange. Just to give you an idea, a McMenu medium sized meal at McDonald's is $8.50 to $9. Please don't actually go to McDonald's to eat though when you're here. Italian food is wonderful and you would be missing a key part of the experience.

Finding the right furniture in Rome can be a treasure hunt. Furniture shops in the historic center are small and specialized, and the only place that sells everything at a low price is Ikea, out on the periphery of the city. Although it's incredibly convenient, we like to think there are alternatives. So our reporter, Alysa Weinstein Gravina, has pounded the cobblestones for you, finding a great selection of furnishings for every taste and budget. Via Monseratto is a good place to start. It runs from Piazza Farnese into Via Banchi Vecchi before it spills out near Chiesa Nuova at Corso Vittorio Emmanuele. The entire strip is loaded with treasures of all sorts, from antiques to modern objects and artisan pieces. Try it for a Saturday shopping stroll, with stops along the way for a coffee or glass of wine.

If you go to Gucci, Bruno Magli and other shops, most, if not all of the stuff is made in Italy. Gucci sells clothes in addition to bags and shoes. Missioni is another Italian maker of sweaters. Do consider made in UK or made in France items if you see them. Some of the street vendors will sell made in Italy neckties. If you are Asian, be very alert (not just in Rome, but in big cities worldwide). Ppl may mistake you for a Japanese tourist (from Japan) and rob you thinking you are loaded. A big problem in Madrid.
