whats wrong with my car heater?
My heat will not shut off and the air conditioner will not turn on.
The fan works fine.
What in my trouble?
It is a 2000 Olds Bravada with a 4.3 with climit control.

i had a bmw do something like that when the outside temperature sensor got broken off. replaced the sensor and it all came back.

Sounds like it could be the climate control module. You would find that under the dash. You're going to need the book.
A Caddy I had used a test of turning the controls to the coldest position with the unit on and then starting the car. Shutting it off and putting the temp up to highest. It was so long ago but I remember it was called "Failure at 85degrees" or something like that.

1. check fuses
2. check vacuum hoses
3. possibly a defective electrical climate control head (A/C heater control panel on the dash)
