Vincent van Goe, van Goff, or van Gochckchck*?

* The last is a kind of back-of-the-throat, guttural thing.

I know how it is spelled (Vincent van Gogh), but I was wondering...

I've heard it pronounced these three ways the most (plus others), but I was wondering what you thought?

Let's ask Vincent himself. He was very smart and spoke 7 languages including English very well. While he was working in London he was often asked how to pronounce his last name and his answer always was, "You can't pronounce it in English." That's why I just say Vincent.
