When did the Democrats re-write history and re-define 1/2 the dictionary?
I read an article in the New York Times yesterday, where the author, a professed Democrat, called all Republicans Nazis, said that anyone who had a strong opinion against Premier Obama was either a racist, treasonous, or subjugating the overthrow of the U.S. Gov. and as such should be arrested and thrown in prison. WHEN exactly, did the history of the World get re-written? Last I checked, Obama was a socialist, as was Hitler, THE Nazi. People are using a swastika in acommunityn with Republicans, when Republicans are the OPPOSITE of Nazis!!! And this arresting people for dissention? W.T.F.??? Two years ago, Democrats touted dissention as the HIGHEST FORM OF PATRIOTISM. Personally, I always thought doing your duty as a citizen and serving your country in its Armed Forces was the highest form of Patriotism (but Democrats have always had a sideways view of the world, and would know a partiot if it punched them in the mouth...But I digress), but now, dissention should be a crime, and not a form of patriotism...Sounds a little like Lennin,Marx, Chairman Mao, Pol Pot, Hitler...All of the so called Socialists have FEARED dissention. Looks like this new Socialist crowd is alittle afraid of it as well. But WHEN did the deffinition of socialist change to mean Democratic, and when did Nazi become to mean ANYTHING BUT Socialist??? The OPPOSITE of Republican beliefs? I'd really like for someone to give that a LEGITIMATE answer. Not a smart alleck remark, but a sincere, well thought out ANSWER to my QUESTION.

Nazi-ism got it's "Right Wing" name from Father Coghlin - a popular Catholic Priest (during the Depression) who fought openly against FDR.
He was antisemitic and opposed FDR (who was to the Left). It became popular for Communism to be on the Left while putting Nazis on the Right (guess free market Capitalism was in the middle).
However, both Communism and Fascism/Nazi-ism require big time government control. They are both actually Left Wing (but good luck convincing people who get their news from late night comedians). True far Right Wing is actually little or no government control (kind of what happens in a power outage) Anarchy.
Neither extreme is good but center right is where most polls show the US people are at. However with the govt takeover of 1/6th of the economy we are being dragged far left - and now they control more of our lives that any Founding Father would be comfortable with. (Heck - they started a Revolution because the price of tea went up a little!)

Well maybe because Hitler and the Nazis were not Socialists.
The economic policy of Fascism is an unchecked, unrestrained economy but goods and products are mainly sold to government officials because these goods are often military weapons and supplies, Militarism being a key tenet of Nazism coupled with it's ultra-nationalism.
And of course, socialism and communism are both ideologies that espouse absolute social and economic equality.
Was German society under Nazi rule socially equal? I think we all know the answer to that.

Oh, who has a sideways view of the world?
Democratic Senator Max Cleland. He lost three limbs in military service (both legs and his right arm), was awarded both a bronze star and silver star (3rd highest honor a serviceperson can possibly receive) yet the draft dodging republican Bush II labeled him as being unpatriotic.
Democratic Senator Daniel Inouye, who recieved the Medal of Honor, the highest honor a serviceperson can hope to achieve. He lost his arm in combat. You should read about his bravery in battle.
Would you also have the audacity to call democrat Max Cleland or senator Inouye unpatriotic? Huh? Would you? Do you believe any of those fat, ignorant, armchair fools in the tea party have given as much to the country? Does prancing around like a fool with signs and teabags hanging from your head make you more patriotic?
