Am I another stereotype?
There's this chick in my math class who totally called me out today. She said I'm the typical popular boy stereotype. I never thought about that before, but some of the things she said kinda hit hard. We're both high school seniors, by the way. I'm quarterback of the football team, and my girl is a cheerleader. I care a lot about my hair, clothes, and appearances. I have a lot of friends, and everyone loves me--especially the ladies. My grades aren't so hot. I have a C average overall. I love to party and drink. I guess I'm pretty well off where money is concerned because both my parents are doctors. I'm an only child, too, so I pretty much get my way. But does all that really make me a "popular boy" stereotype?

The majority of high school girls have always liked athletes, especially football players.
I remember my own heart melting once when I saw a girl I liked very much in high school back in 1966 talking to a guy who was on the football team in front of his locker. They never got together but that still told me right away that my love for her was probably in vain if those were the kind of guys she liked.
I also knew a few girls in my high school who preferred non-athletic guys on the debate team or the student council instead of the football team but not nearly as many.
If anyone says you are a popular boy stereotype that's probably what they mean. However, I'm still not putting football down. If that's something that you like and something that you're good at in school, then I think that's great. It's just that you will have more girls per capita adoring you than if you were not a football player. So brace yourself.

Will it change you if you were? Stereotypes don't fit in the real world and people can only see what they want so they can't really judge.
Are there any other things that would set you aside from anyone else? I can answer this too and safely say yes there are.
What it does make you is spoiled and unable to cope given a difficult situation. You need to toughen up and take on more personal responsibility and maybe get involved in the community. This would develop a deeper sense of self because maybe it is this which you are lacking.

You sound like the "All American Boy" to me! Next, you'll get a choice of scholarships to big 10 schools, lose the HS girlfriend and drink heavily at frat parties, while missing classes in Sports Science and Black History because you're juggling 8 hot chicks at one time and high all the time.
But seriously, as a a piece of poop with a X-Mas hat, I am serious about telling you that if you are comfortable with all that, that's perfectly OK! Follow your own path, even if it's a stereotype and stop once in awhile to ask the God of your understanding, if what you're doing is OK with Him. Perhaps he has different plans for you in the future. Be open to everything in store.

Tell her she's a "typically annoying chick stereotype". Who care's what she thinks!. You're supposed to apologize for working hard at football and caring about what you look like? Don't wake up in the morning wondering what you can do to impress people other than your parents and girlfriend.

shes right.
but dont say everyone loves you. your probably just around people who do and not around those who dont, so they cant say the mean things they would.
but anyway, after high school, maybe after college, it will change.
high school is where you rule, but not the real world.
