Party food in the park on summer?
i´m having a soldier party for my son in the summer. I need help on creating a menu for the kids and the adults coming. The party idea is to have like a camp out type of theme or pic nic style and also some tables and chairs for the older adults.. What food can I give to everyone...???

Beans, burgers, franks...corn on the cob....salsa and chips, parmesan popcorn, trail mix, cheese and crackers (include Triscuits),
have a cooler for potato salad, pasta salad, fruit tray with dip
chips, dips, pretzels
s'mores and marshmallows to roast (they have fruit ones and kids can use pretzel stick to spear them)
large cooler of lemonade
Have lanterns on the table
CAKE: Person in a sleeping bag~ Use a rectangular cake pan. From the cake cut off 1 11/2" from one long edge. Use this piece to form a head at one end. Frost the bag (the main piece) with a blue using a darker blue for the sewn channels. Along the bottom and one edge use white or gray for the zipper. Frost the head, flesh color and use a frosting tool/applicator to make hair. Add touches for eyes etc.
OR
Use a rectangular cake, frost green and add Oreo 'dirt.' Add frosting sleeping bags/heads around a pretzel campfire. Find plastic trees for decoration.

You could always make a big batch of cookies! and decorate them cute:) and you could have kool-aid. Kool-aid is cheap and summer friendly! Also, watermelon. Since not everyone would eat watermelon you could just buy one and cut it up into slices
