NRL Grand Final to stay in Sydney?
Atleast until 2022, so Queenslanders will have to wait another 12 years. Your thoughts?

The Stadium, the Ticket sales, the revenue, the tradition, the whole point ... where else could it be?
It can't be held anywhere else. The Grand Final teams are not really known until the week before the Game, so if the Queensland teams or the Storm are not involved, probably the crowds wouldn't come to a Brisbane or Melbourne ground. But Sydney people will go to the game at ANZ regardless.
I bought my tickets early last year when I thought that the Dragons would be in the Grand Final, and even though I didn't care for the Storm or Parramatta, I went to the GF anyway, to be a part of it.
Leave the game where it is ...

Its great for the NRL but terrible for QLD fans. I think just give us one grand final, just one. Even though a packed Suncorp stadium wouldnt bring in as much money, its the least the NRL could do to repay the years of support the Queenslanders have gave the game. We dont get the Grand Finals, we dont get the two Origins and now they're talking about moving the All-Star game to Sydney, its just not fair lol Just give us something!

Rugby League's heartland is NSW and QLD - and notwithstanding I see Mr Hull's attitude with Melbourne making the NRL grand very final for the fourth consecutive season - an excellent attempt - the help would not be there. With the AFL grand very final the week till now, many Victorians would seem someplace else for their activity, and as Jo fairly rightly surmised, they might not fill up the MCG, despite if the typhoon made the Grand very final - League only would not have the status down there. in the event that they needed impartial floor for a Grand very final they might play in Queensland - however the Grand very final is performed in Sydney - and that's that. circulate Eels!

I thought why not??
I mean QLD have had teams for a long time and deserve a big game up there.
Then I heard they cannot fit 80000 into one stadium that will be A problem.
Plus what if there are 2 NSW/VIC teams?? Also the foundation of the NRL is NSW - foundation teams are NSW teams so I can understand why we are keeping it here.
My opinion though is we should offer free transport to Sydney for members if Broncos/Titans/Cowboys make the GF (lol~~kidding)
get some coaches get em down here!

I thinks that's a good call. There are a lot of teams in Sydney/NSW and one of them are bound to make it to the grand final so a Sydney grand final would and does pull a great crowd.. it would suck if it was an all QLD grand final or something along those lines. But in saying that, if the grand final was in QLD the crowd numbers would also be big. If you look at Brisbane, Gold Coast and North QLD matches the crowds are always big so a grand final in QLD wouldnt be as bad as everyone thinks.

The stadium in sydney holds more people...keep it in sydney...
OR even maybe give it to QLD every 3 or 4 years

Sydney is the historical home of the game here. The GF should remain. We don't see the AFL moving their big one even over the period when no Victorian teams made the big one.

keep it in Syndey. Its not like the 2006 Grand final between melbourne and Brisbane didn't attract a crowd of up to 80,000.

Awesome, ANZ is the ideal place for a GF anyway. There's bound to be a NSW based team in the GF and ANZ fits more people than anywhere else, I can't see anywhere else they can have it.
