Guitarists... Question about straps?
So whenever I play, my strap just gives up on me and falls off. My guitar has taken a lota damage but still works, basically only the volume knob is broken. Are strap locks the solution? If they are, which ones would you reccomend?

I have some plastic strap locks that I got at a local guitar shop. I don't know why they aren't more popular, they've saved my guitars from certain damage and destruction! They're cheap, too....
But yeah, I can't stand normal guitar straps falling off. Get strap-locks, they rule!

I don't know about the strap failing, but it's very common for the strap to slip right out of those little knobs. For a cheap strap lock, take off the little rubber gaskets from the top of a couple of Grolsch beer bottles. They fit right onto the guitar strap knob perfectly...put them on over the strap and they keep the strap in.

is the strap old and worn out? i've had that happen in the past but not lately. right now my straps are in pretty good shape and solid on the ends so that hasn't been a problem.so i would try that, just get a new strap.
