Do nights of drinking (not extreme but still about 6 or 7 drinks) effect you liver permanently?
I was dumb and drank about 6 or 7shots last night of vodka, I've only got slightly drunk three times in my entire life, each time about two months apart, only once not remembering some things. My question is will it affect my liver permanently? I've come to the conclusion that I can't control myself drinking moderately because everyones just getting drunk usually in my college, so I am stopping today. I'm thinking of going on Accutane in a few months again and I don't want it to affect the blood tests. Should I be good for a blood test in 2 months?

If everyone that drank as much as you did get permanent liver damage, then at least half the college and high school kids would all be waiting on liver transplants. No, you did not do any permanent damage. It takes a lot more than that to destroy a liver. Do those shots daily for about 15 years and then you might be facing permanent damage.
I'm glad you are going to stop drinking since it can cause many problems. If you are a young and healthy college student other than these few drinking episodes, I don't know why you would need blood tests done if you are talking about having them done on your liver. At the very worst, all you did was probably cause the liver to be a little irritated and that will go away probably within a few days. Don't worry about it and get on with your life. You are being paranoid.

6 or 7 drinks every couple months will not harm your liver, your body will filter the alcohol with no consequences. Alcohol in small amounts is actually good for your body, a beer or a glass of wine a day helps your heart and helps with digestion. If you were drinking 6 or 7 shots a day that would be bad but once in a while is no problem. If you dont think you can control your drinking when you drink id stay clear of the alcohol altogether but other than that you should be fine. Alcohol in small amounts stays in your blood stream for a very short time, like its gone by the time you wake up unless you drank enough to be hungover or still drunk in the morning, lol, so you'll be fine with the blood tests.

only real alcoholics are harming their liver. If it was a one time binge, you have nothing to worry about. Just don't make a habit of it.
PS. I watched a show called Addiction and usually watch the Intervention shows about addictions on drugs and alcohol. They're very sad. The best shows are the follow up shows when they are fully recovered and seem to have gotten their life back. What I realize is that it's probably an everyday struggle for them because the temptations are always there. Anyhoo, to answer your question...6-7 drinks won't permanently affect your liver. Good luck with stopping.

For years i replaced into inebriated 3 circumstances a week contained in the previous few months i have were given inebriated once a week and had some beverages right here and there different circumstances. Your body help you to understand at the same time as to decelerate.
