What is transculent powder for?
Is it finishing powder? I'm not sure what it is.
Also, I don't have enough for MAC eyeshadows, so I bought HIP shadows instead, or those any good??
Thanks for the T-zone advice! i never knew that

Yes translucent powder is a finishing powder that is supposed to set your foundation. I've never tried HIP, MAC is a good brand, and if you are on a low budget I would recommend Sephora, or even sonia kashuk at target.

Translucent powder is an important step on your make-up and is used to set it. It avoids that your face looks all shiny and keeps your foundation from wearing off quickly. Basically, it's a finishing powder. The one I use is MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Microfinish Powder: Loose Powder. It's excelent and keeps my make-up on place everyday. MAC prep+prime loose powder is also a great option. For a tight budget, go for some Maybelline or Ultah loose powder.
L'Oreal HIP Eye Shadows are ok and worth it a try... They're not as great as MAC but, they do their work to even though they are not pigmented. So, I would recommend you Sephora eyeshadows. Those are pretty good and many make up artists and make up gurus use them!
Hope this helps!

Ulta Translucent Powder works really well. I use it daily, and it keeps my face looking great!
HIP Eye Shadows are pretty good quality (: They're not as good as MAC, but definitely worth the money.

a transculent power looks like a normal power but it comes out more natural.
you power over your T-zone to make it look less oily.
