Why am I having so many issue with setting up my yahoo email on my HTC Eris?
I received a new replacement HTC Eris a few days ago. I've been having issues setting up my email. I set up my yahoo email account and when I went to set up my cox email it kept saying Authentication failed. So I deleted my Yahoo email to test to see if it was just my cox email being funky. Then I couldn't get either back on. Went to the Verizon store and they got my cox email up and running but said that Yahoo servers are having issues. Is that even true or do I need to get a new phone again.
Hi Nathan,
I'm not sure how to reply to your answer. I did have my yahoo email on previous HTC Eris. I've tried numerous times to add the account and it will say that the server has timed out or that my authentication failed, I even tried adding the yahoo account on my husbands HTC Eris it won't work on his phone either.

Did you have yahoo on the old phone? Beacause android 1.5 does not natively support yahoo- you have to manually set the server settings
