Fatigue After Exercise Normal?

I just started a workout routine: 15 minutes of (indoor) cardio in the morning, a 30 minute (fairly rigorous) bike ride in the afternoon. And I feel wiped out. It's day 3 of the routine. Is this normal? It feels like I've been eating nonstop (+ multivitamins) to make sure my body is nourished and replenished enough, but I don't know.

Does the body need time to adjust to a switch from an inactive lifestyle (w/booze, cigarettes, but day labor ...), to a more active one w/regular exercise, or could it be I'm not getting enough nourishment?

Update:

To give (a maybe) over-elaborate idea of what I'm putting in my body ... I weigh 133 pounds, male, and had:

1 Poached egg on hard roll w/2 strips bacon, banana, glass OJ, 1/4 cup sunflower kernels; Hard Roll w/turkey lettuce tomato, oatmeal-raisin-walnut bar [Cliff brand], 1 serving corn chips, orange, 20 oz gatorade; nutrition shake (350 cal), banana -- pre-ride; dinner: 2 servings [2/3 cup uncooked] cous cous [like a pasta/rice hybrid], 1/4 cup sunflower kernel, banana, orange, 1 glass OJ. tired of eating ... i was eating like 1.5 meals a day before.

lol, you betcha, give your body time to start feeling better. Don't stop exercising, expect to feel whipped at first. The second week you might notice the difference. That saying "no gain no pain" is somewhat right. Don't be in a hurry to get where you want to go. Consistency is the key. I'd eat alittle more food. The more you exercise the more you can eat. Your body needs it to build. Use the food pyramid and balance out your diet.

Don't be too hard on yourself, its your third day. Its always worse when your a newbie to exercise. When I started lifting weights, both my ribs were sore to the touch, and my pecs were so sore, I did not want to move my arms. The body adapts to the routine, and very soon, in the next week or so it will get easier to cope with really quickly.

Yes, this is quite nutritious food, nothing to worry about, as long as you are not starved at any time, and you eat frequently, then this is a good diet.

It sometimes takes a while for your body to get used to all the new activity. Just make sure that you continue to eat well and take vitamins and give yourself at least 1 rest day, if not 2 every week. Eventually you will build up endurance and will be less tired.
